Due to the workload involved with getting the
Postgraduate Certificate course online, it has
not been possible as yet to arrange the Centre's normal training program
for this year. We hope to get this under
way around mid-year; however, here is some advance notice:
The major development will be the presentation of a range of online
training events. The first of these will be an online version of the
Primary Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, followed by
some shorter programmes involving specific applications of cognitive
behaviour therapy. This represents a major change in the way the Centre
will be presenting programs in the future. We believe that the move to
online training will (1) make training available to more practitioners,
and (2) provide a greater depth of training - at less cost to
participants or their employers.
We will send out a newsletter updating everyone. If you are already on
our e-mail newsletter list, then you don't need to do anything,
otherwise, you can register for the newsletter at this webpage:
We hope you will be able to join us for a training event sometime in the

These stand-alone workshops will be of interest to a range of helping professionals, whether or not they have previous experience of using any form of CBT. They will introduce the basics of CBT then apply this learning to the particular area under study. Each workshop has limited numbers.
Primary Certificate Courses
Primary Certificate courses provide formal training toward in-depth skills in the subject. They involve home study (Stage I) which begins 6 weeks before the practicum (Stage II) followed by practice with clients and preparation of final assessment (Stage III). All have limited numbers.
